The journey there
Come with us on a journey to the tranquil and secluded SamyogaBali, a touch of paradise perched among the hills and lush verdure. SamyogaBali is situated in the small hillside village of Kayu Putih (90km from the Denpasar), 5 kilometers from the scenic northern coastal road where small villages Kalibubuk, Temukus, Anturan…strung out along the famed Lovina dark-sand beaches.
As you leave behind the hectic world of the South Bali, you begin to unwind while journeying through the scenic central highlands lakeside resort of Budugul (1,500 meters). Crossing the steep jungle-covered mountains and occasional wispy fog, you catch glimpses of the ocean far below - the Bali Sea.
Soon you pass through Singaraja, the capital of the northern Buleleng region which was an important administrative center for the Dutch and principal harbor for Bali until 1953. Although the second largest city of the island, Singaraja is light years away from the crowds and still has the 19th-century colonial air.
A few kilometers west of Singaraja where the Lovina beaches begin lies the road (at 10 ½ km marker) that lead up to the hill of Kayu Putih.
